S1000rr should be interesting to see in WSB

I am curious to see how this bike does. I think it's progress and advancements that show up on the track will be what will determine it's marketability for street users. Hopefully they'll keep the price close to the jap bikes like they said they will, that way there is more to the mix when choosing.

Re: S1000rr should be interesting to see in WSB

if they can keep it around $14,000 like they state in the article, i can probably buy a used one in 2011-2012.

It will be interesting to see Troy and Xaus on the bike this year. It's great to see BMW step up to the plate.

Re: S1000rr should be interesting to see in WSB

Yes it is great to see them step up. Hopefully it will be good. I thought it was interesting that in the motorcycle.com article it stated that they were contracting out their engines for the g450x and g650 to kymco to be made to BMW specs and that they may possibly do the same for the s1000rr. I thought BMW prided itself on building everything in house from start to finish?
