Buell Riders / Buell Only Ride(?)

So I've taken to riding my brother's 1125r while he's serving our country overseas.
That's him on the left . . .

It's a really fun bike with all kinds of forethought and weird little quirks. All sorts of nifty little things like the motor revs about 500rpm when you start to let the clutch out in 1st - on it's own, also the needle on the tach glows brighter the closer to redline you get, setting the rear preload is a breeze because the tool comes IN the toolkit and actually works . . .

Oh, and it pulls like a freaking TRAIN. First gear basically has me skimming the ground without trying, if I actually "roll on it" the front comes up like I'm on a space shuttle. I opened it up (private road with a professional driver do not attempt ever, don't even think about it, for that matter, stop thinking entirely) over 150 and it STILL pulled like it wanted to dislocate my arms.

I changed the oil and filter today, set the suspension according to Sport Rider's recommendations and just toodled around a little. WOW. I'll tell ya, the front fairing is HUGE when you see the bike sitting still, but being behind it is NICE and it doesn't look bad at all once in motion.
I need to get it in to the dealer. The turn signal doesn't work and they need to install LoJack for him so he can track my every move on his bike while he's away.

The only complaint I have so far is that Harley is the wrong dealer to be selling and servicing these bikes - they need to be handled through Triumph / Ducati / BMW dealers. Basically they are an exotic and putting them in a room full of tractors, with tractor techs to work on them, is a mistake. Shame they're OWNED by Harley . . .

SOOO - How many Buell owners do we have out here? Who wants to set up one of those god-awful, elitist, "calling all why-babies and the waahmbulance" BUELL ONLY rides??

Hey nice bike...

*FYI - LoJack will not track the bike AT ALL, the only thing it will do is beep. And only after it's been stolen, and you call the service center, and a police car is equipped with the transmitter or transponder or something like that, get close enough (3 to 5 miles) to hear that beep. And still they can not track it, but they can canvas the area as the beep should get louder as they get closer to the bike. LONG STORY SHORT, he can not track the bike using low jack...

For that task, your better off trying the zoombak. Google it...

Also, I'm sure on of our sponsers on here can get your idicator working, if one of the forumn members can't fix it.

And again, NICE BIKE

Ride safe...
