    | Mirror removal I am trying to replace a rear view mirror on a friends Gallant. The glass cracked and the base is still good so I want to take off the mirror from the base to install the new unit. Sadly, there is no release point. I found a slot on the bottom side of the base but I cannot figure out what to do to make it come apart. Any suggestions?

| Re: Mirror removal Hammer! Just stick it in and wiggle it around until you get a good reaction. Could be glued, so add some heat as well.
