Slight issue with my Blazer

I have an '01 2-door Blazer. For those who aren't familiar, it has one of those hatchback trunks where the glass lifts up and the hitch opens down. Last night I went out for a few groceries, and while loading them up, I noticed the glass doesn't stay up by itself anymore. It has slipped down slowly int he past if it wasn't opened up all the way, so I kept trying to push it up farther but it was very clear that it wasn't going to stay up. It falls slowly, so it's not like there's NOTHING in there. I just don't know a thing about cars so I don't even know where to begin to try and fix this.

Something tells me this little truck that has been so good to me for the past few years is about to start having issue after issue.

Btw, I don't know if it matters, but it lifts with 2 arms, one on each side of the glass...not just one.

Re: Slight issue with my Blazer

sounds like the oomph has gone out of the two arms...I assume they work like shocks and just need to be replaced...are there any adjustments anywhere on them?

Re: Slight issue with my Blazer

Just replace the arm's which are worn out and are not holding pressure.

It takes all of about 2 minutes to replace both...get them and I will install them for you if needed. Let me know.
