Tires are cheap, bodywork is expensive, body parts like shoulders, collarbones and arms are even MORE expensive.

Re: TIRES on Track Day

Good advice. So you feel I should have a tire with no squaring? Mine does have a little and you make a good point.

Thanks, this will be my first track day and all advice is appreciated.

I'm really one who takes the safety of others seriously.

Re: TIRES on Track Day

You'd actually be better with track takeoffs than to run squared off street tires IMHO.

I will be with the beginners....although that in itself may be inherently more dangerous

Ok, look for a 1978 Yamaha XS11 with open pipes, chopper handle bars, extended front forks (broomsticks worked well), and an awsome 36" rear sissy bar. If you have trouble spotting me....then look for a skull helmet with a maltese cross on top.

Sweet, you're THAT GUY... awesome, then just put some NOS on it, chrome the hell out of it, stretch it 10 inches and hold the THROTTLE WIDE OPEN, and you'll be fine

Can't you get them for cheap on eBay?

Yes but they are usually Chinese knock-offs.

We all know that Asian body parts are worthless.

They're not worthless. They just tend to be smaller.
