Regardless of the bike size you ride, the most important thing when being on the track is being predictable and holding your line.

I ride a 600 and there are some guys who are 100x's faster then me on a 600. They ride a faster pace, have faster corner speeds and get much better drives out of the corners then i do, so they will also have faster closing speeds on me. But as long as i am predictable and hold my lines, there shouldnt be an issue.

Same with a 250... Or just take it to a track like jennings, that has far fewer straights then Homestead (i know it is a hike for you SoFla people) but cuz jennings is more technical and has less straights you'd probably have to worry about that less there.

FYI, i got smoked at jennings by some little freaking kid on a 125 or 250 2 stroke, he passed me like i was parked on my bike at a bike night..

Don't worry about the guys behind you. Just hold your line and ride your pace, and the riders behind you will have to worry about getting around you.

Hell, there's a good chance that you'll learn quicker on how to carry more corner speed than many of the newer track riders on litre bikes.

What you saw were 250GP bikes. Completely different animal than a Ninja 250 not only in terms of top end speed, but also in acceleration, handling and braking. Those bikes are capable of lap times close to the liter bikes.

Re: A Ninja 250 Track day?

I think the 2007's are still the previous version. I think the update came in 2008.
