What is the best way to care for road rash ?

last night i slid across the street without any gloves or jacket . I've been riding for 26 years ( that number make me feel old ) and i didn't expect this . I was moving at around 15-20 mph coming toward a bend and the front end just let go . No time to even react ,which is really what pisses me off . And it all happened in an instant .
I wanted to know what the hell made me crash so i got up and walked back to look and all i found was a couple of pebbles . My wife and kids were in the car just in front but she didn't see anything . I had just left the Sunny Isles park with my two kids and i forgot my gloves in her trunk .
Within seconds three cop cars showed up all offering help which was also very surprising because i've had only had bad contact with the police in Miami. I was expecting them to take me to jail or interrogate me .
Any got home jumped in the shower to clean the wound and applied iodine and NEOSORIN . The pain is unbearable but doesn't look infected .
I remember i a time when i wouldn't even think about riding with full protection but with the Miami heat and me from cool and cold Montreal Canada full protection means super sweat so i've been riding with a t shirt and cargo pant ever since i got here .

get yourself some silvadine cream. That stuff is the reason I barely have any scars.

from what i saw last night it only needs some paint , know anybody cheap ?

Stuff is like magic. Make sure to keep the wound moist and don't let it scab up without the silvadine cream.
