No, two piece is fine, just have to tape off all the right stuff, along with mirrors, plates etc. But wish I could make it but I think there's a open track day on the second of October at palm beach!! I might try to break out the suit and fresh tires laying around!!

Thanks abzx10r... couple more questions: Boots, do they have to be actual riding boots?

I heard I need gloves that go up my arm... is this specific to certain tracks or do the same rules apply to most around here?

I would say the setup you need to hit up the track is first to be register for the open track day along with paying all the fees to ride!! You will need these things or I recommend you get some etc. Full suit/two piece,boots,gp styled gloves that cover the wrist, tape for all the glass/removed mirrors/plate taken off/extra set of tires along with warmers is a plus. Best thing for anyone going for there first track day is, when you get out there on the track simply let your tires warm up and put your ego aside and simply learn the track too. What I did for my first is I got out there road around for a couple laps allowing my tires to first warm up and first to learn the track and how its set up along where I'm going to need to brake before entering the corners. There will me a lot of people out riding with you in novice to help you out so I wouldn't sweat it. Just get some stuff and go out and have fun. Having fun is the key!!

Cool... Took my first step towards the track day today... Bought a front and rear wheel ( the front still has the brake rotors) for $100!... I wouldnt have passed that up even if I had no intention of going to the track...

i already have a rear track tire (mitzler rennsport). all i need is a front and ill have that portion of the bike set up ready to go.

im looking for some leathers and gloves, new or used, it doesnt matter... around the $300 or less for the suit and 100 or less for the gloves... if anyone has anything, pm me

I saw a add on craig's list for a full suit and gloves and boats for $500 obo offer last night. Go check it out, if I remember right its a complete red/black alpinestar suit/gloves/boots

He said only used a couple track days
