Re: Bimmer hits PBIR pics

As a part-time coach for Keith Code, lemme see if I can clear up some stuff.

This event was the BMW Dealer Introduction of the S1000RR. Most of the attendee's were dealer owner's/reps. Besides riding the bikes they were getting all of the marketing data and store allotment data they need.

Keith Code's California Superbike School is now using the S1000RR.

Though I was not there (only full-time coaches were invited) the comments I've heard back from the coaches are: Wow, OMG, and "Best bike I've ever ridden."

And BMW in rain mode is probably more like 140 to 145 hp with 70 to 75lbs of torque.

600 with 120hp only puts out about 43 to 46lbs of torque.

So i would say its more comparable to a 750 in rain mode.So your still far off.Even BMW compares it to a 750 in rain mode.
to a degree...buddy has a 09 zx6r with filter,pcv,auto tune, full system and laided down 121hp to the wheel so a 600 can pull 120ish out now a days...But still a 1000cc bike at a track school...bad ideal

Here's more pics from the intro and review of the bike by one of the more coaches from the Superbike School.

Helps if I post the link: http://forums.superbikeschool.com/in...=0&#entry16206

Is it true that Keith Code is a Scientologist? That sounds kinda cool. People say he is a close friend of Tom Cruise as well.

The guy i was talking with said mild tune, pipe and filter. Not getting 120hp out of just that.Your adding a pcv . Maybe the dyno guy is running his bike real lean just to produce a number, maybe he took some torque away to give it the hp #, i dont no but in the real world, it takes a little more then a pipe, filter, pcv to get a 120 hp out of a 600cc bike.So in reality your saying you get 10 to 15hp with a pipe filter pc and auto tune or mild tune, that is pretty awsome.

^^^Did I say anything close to that........don't put words in my mouth buddy

No I'm not saying you can pull 10-15hp out of any 600 cause the new 09+ zx6r is not any normal 600cc bike!! It has the most hp out of any 600 ever!!! I'm NOT jumping numbers here but I have seen 3 09+ zx6r's start out with 112-115hp BONE STOCK!! Three different tuners too...But to all there own...

Maybe you should read up or get out and about....Any other 09+ 600 doesnt even come close on power...kawi only loses about 7 from the crank to the wheel where all OTHERS lose close to 15-16 from the crank to the wheel...

Thats my rant, for the folks needing a lesson in bikes......

ps Stan...WHO was the guy that said that...I'm sure a couple guys and tuners would love to show them what they can do....
