My buddy took pics on wed/thur for BMW at pbir. 37 bikes, 176 riders anywhere from invited dealers up to pro-riders from around the world.
Two wrecked bikes(1 totalled had to be paid for on the spot

)
Keith Code was there, including other big names.
Also, bikes had metzler race dots.
I got a tons of pics but, heres a few for now. Hope you like!!

Paid for by whom??? That totally sucks!!

My buddy and fellow racer Mark Allen was one of the riders....I hope it was not hm who crashed!!!

How come the headlights are not taped up and the mirrors are still there? Arent most tracks extremely against that kind of thing?

Because it was a TEST situation, not a race nor open track day so they do not require the additional maintenance to be performed.

that's interesting. I thought Keith Code was a kawi guy, lol.

Was it just a promo thing put on by BMW for anyone?

I like the beamer in the white, red and blue but can't stand it in any of the others. I didn't even know they were selling it in red/white/blue though so that's good, i thought those were the WSBK team colors only.

I want to hear details? how was the bike cause this bike hassssssss a lot resting on its shoulders....I'm waiting for electrical problems with these bmws....

Code will be using the S1000RR at his superbike school from now on. I hear that all the test mules and press bikes will end up there. The red/white/blue paint scheme is an upgrade option ($750) and does look the best. Although the baby shit green color is looking better each time I see it.

Good point, but when was the last time we saw a release in Motorcyclist or SportRider where the new bikes had all the fragile parts taped up? Besides. All these guys are pro's...they never crash!!
