| Just wants to ride ![]() | Re: whats the purpose of this There are two different articles in Roadracing World on this - counter spinning disks. They've run it at Jennings for testing. Yes, it does work, it even allows really radical rake angles, the downside is that it adds weight. |

| I am gonna be a star! | Re: whats the purpose of this Funky yes, kinda neat to watch, except the caliper mounting points were not designed to take loads in the opposite direction.

Same thing I noticed. They should also slow the rate of rotation down a bit, seems like they would spin too fast when the bike is going fast. | |

| Shampoo? No thanks, I'll use real poo | Re: whats the purpose of this It's a good article. The equipped it on a several year old Kawi 600, stock, and it handles incredibly fast, and it's nimble as hell. Sick rake on the fork. I'd love to see than on a 1098 or some twin, which takes a lot more work to change direction vs. an inline 4. Weight is an issue so perhaps some other engineers can rework this and make it lighter. The discs were made bigger to give more mass on the spin, but only one caliper was used due to weight. It's good to see a privateer looking into this. Go by the big book store and pick up Roadracing World's latest issue.
