  | Front Sprocket Change Front Sprocket Change -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replacing 900RR Front Sprocket This is a quick replacement guide for the front sprocket on the Honda 900RR. While most bikes are similar please refer to your maintenance manual for specific instructions and torque values. 1 Loosen rear axle  2 Loosen adjusters and move wheel forward 3 Remove front sprocket cover  4 Place ?special tool in between the rear wheel spokes and on top of the swing arm  5 Remove front sprocket bolt  6 Pull sprocket and chain of the transmition output shaft  7 Remove old sprocket from chain 8 Reinstall new sprocket on chain 9 Place new sprocket and chain on output shaft 10 This may be a good time to drill the sprocket bolt for safety wire 11 Place ?special tool in between the rear wheel spokes and on bottom of the swing arm 12 Torque the sprocket to recommended torque values 13 Safety wire the sprocket bolt to sprocket  14 Adjust the chain. Use a caliper or precision 6? ruler as the chain adjustment marks are not always correct.  15 Torque the rear axle  16 Replace the front sprocket cover 17 Have a beer, you deserve it
